Born June 6th, 1982 in Hamilton, ON, Carly began riding at young age. Her passion for the sport began when a neighbour lent Carly a black and white pony named “Mootsie”. Carly successfully competed in the Pony Divisions before moving into the Junior Hunters and Jumper Divisions. As a 15 year old Junior, Carly won the Junior Medal Finals, Quebec City Hunter Classic and many other championships.
In the Jumper Ring, Carly and “Rex Get Busy” won both the Team and Individual Gold Medal at the North American Junior Young Rider Championships. The following year on the Senior Team Carly and Rex were Individual Bronze Medal Winners and helped the team achieve a Silver Medal.

Returning to Canada, Carly founded Triple C Stables which now has several successful horses and clients. In 2007 during her first year in business, Carly and Arriscraft Rocca won the $60,000 Kubota Cup in Collingwood, Ontario.
Throughout her Young Riders career, Carly won the Paul Scriver Memorial Award, The Douglas M. Catto Award, the Horse Sport Young Riders Scholarship 2 years in a row. Wins also include Jump Canada Talent Squad in 2003 and 2004 and a Bronze, 2 Silver and 1 Gold Medal at the Senior Young Riders Championships
Upon completing high school, Carly attended McMaster University where she acquired a Political Science Honours degree coupled with a minor in Anthropology. After completing her studies, Carly moved to Europe and spent 6 months training and working with Jessica Kurten and another 6 Months training with Eric van der Vleuten.
